Alan Jackson shares personal eggnog recipe just in time for the holidays

Caring is sharing. Alan Jackson is doing his part to bring some joy to life this Christmas season.
In an Instagram post, the “Livin ‘On Love” singer shared his personal recipe for Alan’s Egg Nog.

Check out Jackson’s recipe below and treat yourself to some delicious eggnog this vacation, if you’re inclined to drink like the native of Georgia.
What you will need:
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/3 cup light rum
- 1 liter of whole milk
What to do:
âWhip the cream until it is firm. Add 1/4 cup of sugar. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites and 1/2 cup of the sugar until stiff. In a third larger bowl, whisk the egg yolks until creamy with 1/2 cup of the sugar. Add the liqueur to the whipped egg yolk mixture. Stir in the milk. Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate before serving. Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg.

The recipe is taken directly from Jackson’s Cookbook 2nd Edition, Who says you can’t cook everything, which he released in 2009, (an updated version of its original 1994 version). The cookbook shares the Jackson family’s recipes as well as family photos over the years.
