‘American Song Contest’: Yes, it’s ONLY 90s idol Michael Bolton to represent Connecticut
America’s biggest live entertainment event is here! This incredible musical spectacle combines the competitive spirit of rooting for your favorite sports team with the joy of watching a beloved singing performance. It is based on the worldwide phenomenon “Eurovision Song Contest”, organized for 65 years by the European Broadcasting Union and watched by 200 million people each year.
“American Song Contest,” America’s version of the global megahit, will feature live original musical performances from all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and our nation’s capital, all vying for the nation’s vote for Best Original Song. The eight-week competition will feature 56 contestants competing to win the battle. Artists will compete in a series of qualifying rounds, semi-finals and a grand final where one state or territory will emerge victorious. From unknown talents to up-and-coming new artists and rising stars to established and famous legends, the 56 artists will present a wide variety of performances. Each region will be represented by an outstanding solo artist, duo, band or group who will sing an original new song that celebrates the depth and variety of diverse styles and genres across America.
