While the track features Mayorkun’s trademark and vibrant afropop sound with an Amapiano twist, the clip is exhilarating and sees him reimagined as a real-life mayor sensational returning to power and meeting elated crowds, s ‘further proving an appropriate accompaniment for music.

Commenting on the video, Mayorkun said; “The Back In Office video is special, we had to do everything to film the streets of Lagos Island, letting them know their mayor is back in power. Congratulations to TG Omori and his team for working relentlessly on set for 2 days to bring this vision to life.

Looking ahead to the release of his second album, Mayorkun adds; “I am delighted to finally be able to publish this body of work, it has been a long time since my debut album in 2018. I am grateful to everyone who shared their positive energy with me in creating this project. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do while recording.

The album “Back In Office” will be available in digital stores around the world on October 29th.
