Big Bang’s TOP reportedly filmed a music video in New York

The Big Bang TOP member was spotted filming a music video in Manhattan, New York recently, sparking speculation of a solo comeback.
Earlier this week, a South Korean media The fact shared several photos of the South Korean musician in various Manhattan locations accompanied by a film crew, reporting that the TOP photos were taken in mid-May.
The outlet also claimed filming took place with strict security measures in place, but quoted local staff as saying the shoot was for “experimental work that harmonizes film, music and art” .
In the same report, The fact quoted a separate anonymous insider source, who claimed that the filming was done for a “large-scale comeback project”, as translated by the South Korean news publication SBS News.
“It is difficult to divulge specific details, but we are preparing this content as part of a large-scale comeback project that TOP has prepared with its global partners,” the insider said. “The content will portray TOP with his many identities – including a singer, an actor, and as a human being.”
Although neither TOP nor its reps have yet responded to the reports, the alleged “comeback project” could mark the rapper’s first since leaving longtime label YG Entertainment in February. His recent appearance in New York also follows an interview in March where the idol said he plans to release his first solo album soon.
Meanwhile, Big Bang – completed by G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung – released “Still Life” in April, their first new music in four years. Although he remained a member of the boyband after his departure from YG Entertainment, TOP has since hinted that “Still Life” may be the last release to feature him for the foreseeable future.
