BTS V singer teases new song with K-drama-style clip, fans say ‘thought we were on hiatus’
The BTS V member surprised fans by sharing a new unreleased song on Friday. The K-pop singer shared a series of videos on his Instagram Stories featuring the track. The song was played in a Mustang he was driving, apparently in Hawaii while on vacation.
In the video, V appeared to be his own K-Drama frontman, enjoying his song as he drove around town. The BTS singer wore a floral blue shirt, as seen in the photo he posted on Thursday night singing along to the song.
The BTS singer shared the video with the words “I love you”. Taking Weverse, V said the song was made some time ago. “I wrote it here, it’s just a song I did a long time ago but the vibe was so good,” he said, translated by BTS Weverse on Instagram.
The song elicited all kinds of reactions from BTS fans. While many have praised V for his baritone voice, many others also believe his mixtape – dubbed KTH1 mixtape – is also on the way.
“Kim Taehyung is giving us a new song like this, I can’t stop listening – it’s so beautiful oh my god,” a fan said on Twitter. “Wait, is this the purple song?” Kim Taehyung and a new song? Please we’re so excited about your mixtape, ”added another. “KTH1 is definitely coming on December 30, like the sentiment just keeps growing,” said a third fan, referring to V.
However, fans said, “I thought we were on a break,” referring to the group’s decision to take an extended break from work. “I thought we were on a break, my heart can’t take this,” said one fan. “New song from Kim Taehyung? Please let me breathe. I can’t do this anymore. I thought we were on a break? Another added.
