DMV’s LB199X is on another level in “Higher” music video
Fast-growing DMV recording artist LB199X addresses his demons en route to the top of the mainstream landscape on positive new visual “Higher.” A first impression for most — with Young2Much on the beat — the new artist showcases his undeniable star power with clever puns, a catchy hook, and signature fashion sense. Words and fashion aside, the rising star shines bright as she brings her most vulnerable thoughts to the fore to prove her unstoppable ambition to become music’s next big star.
“Down, I had to find a way to see my light,” LB199X says of the song’s meaning. “Losing my parents was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. Being strong and unwavering made me realize that I have to raise the bar to live my truth.
Featuring Ayaana Nash, the visual directed by Marcus Waltson introduces us to the LB199x community. Affected by survivor’s remorse, surrounded by family and friends, he recalls death while cleaning a restaurant.
