‘Do, Re & Mi’ hits the perfect note for preschoolers and families – NBC Los Angeles

Parents of young children will be happy to know that there is another entertainment option available for their children. “Do, Re & Mi” is the latest offering from Amazon Kids. This animated series takes kids on the musical adventures of three best birdie buddies and teaches them valuable musical knowledge along the way.
Amazon Prime Video “Do, Re & Mi” is an Amazon Original animated series for preschoolers that focuses on the musical adventures of three best birdie buddies voiced by Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn and Luke Youngblood.
Do, Re and Mi are voiced respectively by Luke Youngblood (“Galavant”), Jackie Tohn (“Glow”) and Kristen Bell (“The Good Place”). NBC sat down with Bell and Tohn to find out why they wanted to explore the world of music with preschoolers.
“Amidst the music and arts programs being phased out in public schools, we want to help preschoolers reap the developmental benefits of music education,” Bell said.
The series uses music to explore musical vocabulary, music fundamentals, movement and self-expression. There are also elements of problem-solving in each episode as we watch these friends work together. Each episode has an original song that was co-written by Tohn, who also co-created the series.

“Kristen and I are talking about this because in our 20 years of friendship we wouldn’t be the freaks and fun people we are today if we weren’t musical kids,” Tohn said.
Produced by Bell, Tohn, Michael Scharf and Ivan Askwith, “Do, Re & Mi” is an Amazon Studios and Gaumont production for Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Kids +. It premieres September 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
