ELENA ROSE sends a message of concern with “Pikachu”
ELENA ROSEthe wish of his listeners is to dedicate his latest single to him, “Pikachu, to someone they love. Rose says the song is calming and relaxing through the lyrics and the production, describing it as a “virtual hug.”
“It’s a way for you to send someone a hug or just a way to tell someone you love them,” Rose told American Songwriter. “It doesn’t have to be just at the romantic relationship level. It could be just a friendship or a family member, just someone you care about. “
The intro to “Pikachu” came about when Rose felt for a friend who had been in a fight. “He was in a very toxic environment of people. I was sad because there wasn’t much I could do for him and the intro was the first thing that came out, ”Rose says. The singer-songwriter then finished the song with Hector Mazzari and Christian Aloisio about two months after his initial inspiration.
“We were rocking and I said, ‘Hey, I have an intro for a song, will you help me finish it? ”And we brought“ Pikachu ”to life. It was amazing, ”says Rose.
Rose reveals that her favorite lyrics from the song are I want to take care of you like I take care of myself when I go out with a skirt. “It really represents that I want to be able to be there for you as I am, with all my heart,” Rose said.
Raised between Puerto Rico and Venezuela and now based in Miami, Rose first made a name for herself as a songwriter. She released her first single, “Sandunga», In May 2020.
Ultimately, Rose enjoys writing music that impresses her and hopes others relate to them. She also expresses her love for the feeling of achievement that comes with putting a song together.
“When I write a song, I feel like I have a lot of puzzle pieces and I’m just rearranging them. Or if I play chess and move everything, ”Rose shares. “When I get this song, it’s like ‘I finished this puzzle.'”
