Entre The Buried and Me, first artistic clip of “The Future Is Behind Us”
According to The prp, Between The Buried and Me released an music video for their song “The Future Is Behind Us”. The clip accompanies the release of Between The Buried And Me’s new album, Colors II.
“The Future Is Behind Us” is a whirlwind of songs. Beginning with a synthpop type melody, the song evolves into a funky metal groove with a bouncy drum beat. The voices start out tame and soft until finally turning into threatening screams. The video shows many cool shots of the group surrounded by white walls and carvings. The music video was directed by Erez Bader.
Bader said of his concept for the music video, âWhile the band’s mind-blowing performance comes to the fore, the subtle narrative begins inside these pretty literal white walls, which I see in this video as sort of temple. The âsculpture-peopleâ as I call them (which represent the first album), gather in front of this imposing abstract painting inside the white walls; a sacred conduit that they sought to undergo a long-awaited dark ritual. Tommy floats beyond the world, carrying this growing darkness as it flourishes around him in the wilderness and is brought to our cities, ultimately culminating in the black mud that completely consumes the white walls themselves. In the dark, the sculptures give birth to a child – a creation of their own, and he is released into our world. There is a strange transfer of power as a work of art comes to an end. It becomes its own author and begins to guide you to its final form; something totally new. So although I have my own intention behind the video, I have to be cheesy and quote the new album: “I’m not the author, it’s you.”
Recently in July Between The Buried and Me released a dazzlingly intense nine-minute progressive metal track titled “Revolution in limbo. “They also released a cute, animated cartoon video for their song.”Correct the error. “
