Everyone loves a little chaos in their life. And if you ever need it, turn it on The masked singer. B-List celebrities dressed up in the most ridiculous costumes singing hit songs? What could be better? As soon as we get a first glimpse of the characters, the internet does its best to guess. And last night we got some big clues from Cupcake, one of the two food characters in the series. Here’s what we know so far.
Let’s start with the costume. The sweet treat has purple, pink, and blue wrapping, yellow cake, and pink and blue frosting with sparkling yellow sprinkles. Their eyes are large with long lashes and green eyeshadow, and their lips are pouty and red. They also wear green go-go boots and blue gloves.
Now on to the clues we get in the promos and episodes. In the first packet of clues, we are inside a restaurant and someone presses a series of numbers: 1-9-8? It’s hard to say. little cake said, “It’s been a while since I’ve been solo. I’m used to sharing a spotlight.” We get more restaurant images with a filling coffeemaker, a wet floor panel, and heart-shaped pancakes. Then they say that a relative has heard from them about their health. “Food always makes me feel good, why not dress like a cupcake to cheer them up?” Then they get the check, and we see a man skipping rope? Other clues we get from promotions include a Compass, Cupcake on a red carpet being mobbed by paparazzi and in a fitted dress with a green and blue tutu, and Cupcake taking selfies and posting them on social media, which are immediately met with great tastes.
In the first performance of Cupcake, they do “Heatwave” by Martha Reeves and The Vandella. Next, the judges guessed RuPaul, Roberta Flack, Leslie Jones, and Tina Turner.
