Josh melton is a singer-songwriter who uses Nashville to his advantage. After moving to Music City in 2014, the country artist began to polish her vocal abilities and stage presence. Then, after a few singles releases, he was signed to Ebach Entertainment and UMPG Nashville, a partnership that Janine Ebach simply calls a “classic Nashville discovery story.”

“I heard Josh sing in a bar and was blown away by his rich voice, original songs and positive attitude,” Ebach said. in a story for Music Row. “Not only has he been hustling around in Nashville for a few years, but he’s a guy you just want to root for.”

Melton was not always so determined to be successful in the industry, however. “I grew up in a family of musicians, but I didn’t choose to take this path until later in life,” Melton told American Songwriter. “I was in the church choir and all that good stuff, but I didn’t grow up listening to a particular artist or genre that really gave me that spark of wanting to get into music on time. full. I believe timing is everything and looking back now I realize that I had inspiration all around me growing up. I just didn’t answer the call until recently.

Now fully invested in music production, Melton recently released a single that illustrates why the music industry has continued to support this talented Ohioan.

“I Get That With You” is Melton’s interpretation of the love song; it is a new sound angle on one of the most prolific human phenomena. “I entered this writing with only five words on my phone,” says Melton. “’I Get That With You’ and my concept behind it was that I get everything I need from my wife Alivia. Love, compassion, support, motivation, and the list goes on. To be able to go into the room with it. from writers as seasoned as Matt Rogers and Zach Abend was a blessing, and we were able to take those five words and turn them into this song of a love story.

“I think every line in this song is for me, which is why I love it so much,” Melton continues. “I’ve been inspired by so many different experiences, that’s what I love about writing songs. In this song the bridge should be my favorite, I think for me that sums up one of the fundamental messages of the song.

The bridge Melton referred to is a magnificent set of worms. Crazy with a touch / Faith with a smile / Fire with a kiss that drives me crazy / Like no one else could / I get that with you, Melton sings.

In addition to the song bridge, the chorus sanctions “I Get That With You” as a sensational addition to the modern canon of love songs. “At the top of the chorus, when the melody hits, that’s where the magic happens for me. This is the part of the song that really stands out and attracts me as a listener, ”reveals Melton.

Overall, Melton believes this particular song has two possible meanings that will resonate with fans. “For me, this song has a two-part message that I think fans easily relate to. Part one is all about all the different experiences and emotions that you have in life, and where they come from. Part two being to be able to find that forever person who gives you that every day, ”Melton said.
