Madonna shocks over ‘Fallon’, talks about new movie, ‘Madame X’
On Thursday, October 7, legendary singer and performer Madonna continued Tonight’s show with Jimmy Fallon, and continued a recent streak of shocking the viewing public.
Mainly because she made them happy. (See below.)
The “Vogue” singer took to the show to talk about her latest special, Madame X, which premiered on the Paramount + streaming service on October 8. The film’s title is based on the artist’s (and her alter ego) 2019 album, for which she embarked on a world tour before the COVID-19 pandemic brought her to a halt.
Now one date in particular, one of the few that Madonna was able to play, has been caught on camera and is now ready to be shared (watch the trailer here). So, Madonna told Fallon about it before laying down on her desk and later opening the audience.
The 63-year-old “Like A Prayer” singer has also spoken about writing a film about her life.
“The reason I’m doing this is because a bunch of people have tried to write movies about me but they’re still men, Blah,” she joked as the audience laughed and applauded.
“Some men are good. The good men is pretty much an oxymoron. No I read Universal was doing – they sent me the script because they wanted my blessing and I read it and it was the most hideous shallow shit I ever read and then I found out, I’m not even going to say his name, but he’s a total misogynist, he was realizing and I’m like “why would these people make a movie about my life?” There is nothing true about the script, the guy who did it has no understanding of women, no appreciation of women, no respect for women. This has happened several times. I had to call the people, call the studio heads, call my agents, threaten them and tell them that I will stand in front of the building and protest and make everyone’s life a misery if they do and that they keep not taking me seriously. Finally, I just threw the glove away.
“I just said you know what, there is no one on this planet who can write or direct, make a movie about me, better than me and that’s just the truth,” she said.

Watch as Madonna also participated in a skit for a “Kid Theater” with the late night host.
