After more clues point firmly in her direction and her vocal talents were on full display in an incredible performance, Masked Singer viewers are convinced they’ve scolded Michelle Williams as the person in the Rockhopper costume.

Destiny’s Child icon Michelle has previously been on the US version of the show, which she may have been referring to in a previous VT when she mentioned making headlines to “do something thing twice”.

There were also some very heavy Greatest Showman hints in an earlier package, and while Michelle herself didn’t star in the hit movie, actress Michelle Williams did.

Hints that Rockhopper might just be Michelle came massively and quickly in Saturday’s Masked Singer, with tarot cards, as well as being a nod to ‘fate’, also featured photos of the famous Williams , including Star Trek legend William Shatner and his one time mention of being a “prison bird,” which pairs well with the fact that Michelle once performed on stage in Chicago.

William is of course often shortened to Bills, one of Destiny’s Child’s biggest hits being Bills, Bills, Bills and Rockhopper’s latest clue package also featured halo, a song released by Michelle’s former bandmate, Beyonce.

Along with knowing they recognized his voice somewhere, the clues raised alarm bells for Destiny’s Child fans watching Saturday’s episode, especially since the track Rockhopper performed was a mashup of Midnight. Sky by Miley Cyrus and Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks, with the latter sampled by the world-famous girl group on their classic Bootlyicious.

One tweeted: ” #MaskedSingerUK rockhopper is michelle williams 3 williams is bills, bills must be,” with a second, equally sure rockhopper is michelle, reacting, “I don’t have a lot of productive life skills, but I was able to identify rockhopper as Michelle Williams within 5 seconds at #MaskedSingerUK so that counts.”

And a third posted: “Rockhopper is Michelle Williams and I will die with joy on this hill.”

Michelle appeared on The Masked Singer in America in December 2019 after being dressed as a butterfly.
