“WaterBear has had an incredible journey to date with four successful years providing a first-class music education, providing students with a solid foundation for a lasting career in the music industry. We now look forward to the next step in our evolution to grow the WaterBear brand.
Speaking about WaterBear’s trip to the event, co-founder Adam Bushell said: “We’ve seen a change in the music industry over the past twenty years, huge changes, but we were convinced that music education just wasn’t keeping up and that it wasn’t adapted to the realities of the world. evolution of the music industry. So we got together and thought we should do another music university, and we need to figure out how things have changed, more about the independent, self-driven, self-motivated DIY artist, so we started WaterBear in Brighton and four years later, here we are.
“Brighton is going really well, we have around 500 students for this month of September, so it was the perfect time for us to branch out and look for another location, and I’m incredibly happy that we’ve planted a pin in Sheffield Today marks the kick-off and the countdown to the opening of the college in September 2023.”
Co-founder Bruce John Dickinson added, “This one is a bit special. It seems to me, and I don’t know if it’s because I’m from Scarborough, but I feel like music education is coming home. There’s a vibe to the city that you notice immediately when you walk into the city, it feels like everything is coming together, it feels like there’s a culture of relationships – it’s already happening produce and we want to be part of it. We want to do our part to bring things together and do cool things – it’s about two things, new music and creating new jobs in a great industry. So if you put that in with the talent in this city, we think the sky’s the limit, so we’re super excited to be here.
