“This song was born out of the idea of trying to bring those enduring and defining pieces of music like the 1965 release of Bettye LaVette’s ‘Let Me Down Easy’ into a modern, contemporary electronic setting. The idea of bringing together two worlds, which at first glance seem distant, has always drawn us in. It was an absolute honor to be able to work with Bettye’s voice throughout the writing of the track. She is able to convey emotions with her vocal work like no other other. To date, this is one of the most rewarding songs we’ve had the chance to work on as artists. We hope everyone who listens enjoys the track as much as we did to do it.
