San Fermin releases ‘My First Life’ music video starring Wye Oak

San Fermin shares their collaboration with Wye Oak, titled “My First Life”. The single also comes with a visualizer made by Marty McPherson.
San Fermin has announced their upcoming collaborative compilation titled “In This House”. The compilation will be released on December 10 and will feature collaborations with Nico Muhly, Sorcha Richardson, Thao Nguyen, Wye Oak, Attacca Quartet, The Districts and Wild Pink.
San Fermin debuted with the eponymous 2013 album hailed by NPR as “one of the most ambitious, evocative and moving records of the year”. The band’s second album, Jackrabbit, arrived in 2015, debuting at No. 8 on Billboard’s Heatseekers charts.
Following on from Jackrabbit, the group released Belong, the 2017 release hailed by the New Yorker for “often sounding[ing] like a wall of flowers that bloom at once. âWith the release of The Cormorant in 2020, San Fermin has now sold out worldwide, has appeared at big festivals like Lollapalooza and opened for St. Vincent, The National, Arctic Monkeys, and alt-J.
With the release of ‘In This House’, Ludwig-Leone shares, âI am proud to see all of these low-key songs brought together in one place. Each was an experience, a timestamp of when it was written in a And Although they are purposefully distinct, there is a common thread that emerges when taken together: the themes of community, home, lives left behind. There is despair and anger, but also a warmth which comes from accommodating other voices alongside your own. “
