FIVE PURDUE PLAYERS TO KNOW
QB Jack Plummer (no.13): A part-time starter for the past two years, Plummer is Purdue’s undisputed QB1 and has completed 71.9% of his passes since 2020. He has 45 of 61 (73.8%) for 558 yards and six touchdowns this season.
WR David Bell (n ° 3): Selected second-team All-Big Ten a year ago, Bell has been an offensive focal point since posting 1,035 yards on 86 catches in the freshman in 2019. He’s got 14 receptions for 255 yards this year and is particularly dangerous after capture.
TE Payne Durham (No. 87): The Purdue second receiver has totaled 11 catches for 174 yards and three touchdowns so far this year. He only trails Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer among Power Five’s tight ends in the receiving yards.
BY George Karlaftis (n ° 5): Karlaftis has no sack, but his 11 quarterback presses are a better measure of his disturbance and are tied for fourth nationally. He was an Associated Press All-American freshman in 2019.
DT Brandon Deen (# 58): Deen has nine presses to make with five tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a forced fumble. He’s the other main disruptor of a Purdue defense that doesn’t have a deep pass rush.
