Video clip: Ivoirian Doll – Bow Down
Recent studies have shown that human attention span has increased from 12 seconds to eight seconds over the past 20 years. Fortunately, Ivoirian Doll doesn’t need 12 or eight seconds to get someone’s attention. With the video “Bow Down”, she does it instantly. From the first moments of the visual, director Kevin Hudson offers three different extravagant looks at the rising star before she takes control and goes into production with the ultra-confident opening line.
“They don’t want drama with the young Barbie / Pull up with the Dollz, we come like an army / Big noise, vroom like a ‘Rari / I’m in big drop, Fendi and Carti’, she reminds.
If she wanted to stop rapping after delivering those first few bars, she would have done enough already for fans to hit the replay button. However, she is generous enough with her talents to deliver an entire track. Throughout the video, stylist Kiera Liberati proves why she is one of the best in the business. Ivoirian Doll goes from donning a black and white dress to being draped only in fur as she elegantly lays down on a red velvet sofa. All the while, the rising star delivers bar after bar after bar.
“I ran through this bag like it was athletics / Only n * ggas got them for real / Too much fucking money, I must be tied up for real / If he s ‘is broken, it is not an option, I have to play on the field.
From director Kevin Hudson to production manager Joshua Simpson, everyone clearly understood the mission. If you don’t believe me, check out “Bow Down” below.
