Boyband SB19 is spreading Christmas cheer to their fans with the release of the official music video for their song “Ligaya”.
The P-pop group featured the vibrant music video on their YouTube page last Saturday, December 18. It was filmed on a local mall’s holiday display, which had “love”, “hope” and “shine” neon signs hanging from the arches, a set of wonderland candy and a figurine of the Santa Claus whom the group interacted with while singing.
Band member John Paulo Nase wrote the holiday track, which the band debuted at their concert for their third birthday last November. The music video, meanwhile, was directed by Rose Lope, who also worked with the group on their recent performance of the hit song “Mapa” for Sonik Philippines 2021.
The video sits at # 13 on YouTube’s Music Trends list in the Philippines, at the time of writing.
Sb19 recently made the headlines for their catchy song “Bazinga,” which dethroned K-pop sensation BTS’s “Butter” on billboards Hot Trending Songs charted earlier this month. The Korean boy band has since reclaimed the top spot, following the release of “Butter (Holiday Remix)”.
Comprised of members Josh, Ken, Pablo, Stell and Justin, SB19 also promoted âOur Zone: Replay,â an online stream of their two-day anniversary concert âOur Zoneâ on December 25-26. Both concerts were held for the first time via livestream on November 27-28 of this year. JB
