If there is a poet laureate of coffee, not to be confused with the #coffeetwitter Laureate Sproet, which is a very real thing and already taken — this is Jason Petty, better known by his name of emcee Propaganda. The Los Angeles-based versatile hip hop artist, poet, author, activist, podcast host and polymath lives and breathes coffee. He is the host of #PourigamiFridays on his Instagram account – which is chock full of coffee content – he recently released a café in collaboration with Onyx Coffee Lab, and is known to add a coffee reference or two to his music.

And with his latest clip, Calibrate, Prop allows references to coffee to be visual rather than strictly verbal. Released on Friday, September 24, the video shows the emcee rapping about remembering and centering the important things in life on the visual metaphor of rebuilding a two-group La Marzocco Strada. Or, you know, calibration.

Per Petty, the video was shot in collaboration with La Marzocco, and honestly, has the tech work ever been this cool?

We are here at the start of the week in what is already a stressful time in human history, why not start off as the start of a quarter bar? Why not calibrate?
